Sustainability Policy

Our approach to floral design and small business economic viability is to prioritise our environmental stewardship and social equity. We always try to focus on reducing our industry's ecological footprint by limiting and slowly eliminating single-use plastics, choosing locally grown blooms and foliage where possible, and adopting low-impact design techniques.

Our Core Principles of Sustainable Floristry

  • Move away from non-biodegradable "floral foam", which contains microplastics and carcinogens. We now only use  Oasis Bio floral foam ( shown by ASTM D5511 – Biodegradability testing - to biodegrade up to 90% in 30 months).
  • Increase our use of chicken wire in our floral displays : Versatile, reusable mesh used to provide structure in vases or large installations.
  • Eco-Friendly Packaging: Replace our single-use plastic wraps and synthetic ribbons with biodegradable paper, jute twine, or "naked" bouquets.
  • Invest in Ethics: Support farms with third-party certifications where possible, like Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, or Florverde to ensure fair wages and safe working conditions.
  • Natural Bases: Using moss (responsibly sourced), willow branches, or wood shavings to hold moisture and provide support for our installations.
  • Water-Filled Vases: create simple, direct-to-water arrangements, reusing or upcycling old glassware and ceramics.
  • Recycling : All our cardboard materials and plastic are recycled, returned to our suppliers or re-used for the same packaging purpose.
  • Composting : We aim for all our green waste to be composted.
